Not all Med-Peds programs are created equal. At Geisinger, we believe in making our program the best - just like Abigail Geisinger envisioned when she founded Geisinger Medical Center over 100 years ago. Our Med-Peds program has been going strong for over 25 years (one of the oldest programs in the country) but we are actively working, on a daily basis, to stay at the forefront of Med-Peds resident education and development.
Many things may have changed over the past few years in healthcare and in the world; however, the connectedness and family atmosphere we strive to cultivate within our program is still present and stronger than ever.

Med-Peds Program Aims
Train internal medicine-pediatric residents to be well rounded physicians and physician leaders.
Expose residents to aspects of the Quadruple Aim to improve care for all patients as well as for themselves.

This year, we will be conducting only virtual interviews, as per recommendations set forth by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) ERAS Advisory Committee Workgroup and the Coalition for Physician Accountability. The Med-Peds interview process takes place from late October through January. Prior to your interview, candidates will have the opportunity to get an in-depth view of the unique aspects of our program and will be able to find many answers to their questions. Each applicant selected to interview will have virtual, optional time to spend with current residents prior to their interview day with the residency leadership team. Please see our "Interview Day" page for more information about the application process and more specific details.
